Women’s teams win gold, gold and bronze in National Half Marathon

After yesterday’s brilliant news of six individual medals for Norah, Colette, Ann Lennon, Pauline, Mary and Mags, we have more to celebrate today as team results are published. Congratulations to our Senior women team who won gold, our o50 women A team who also finished first and our women’s o50 B team who won bronze.

National Half Marathon Team results:

Mayo AC Senior Women: gold – Norah Newcombe, Ann Lennon, Colette Tuohy.

Mayo AC Women o50 A : gold – Pauline Moran, Ann Murray, Mags Glavey

Mayo AC Women o50 B : gold – Monica Joyce, Mary Murphy, Una McGrath.

Mayo AC Senior women B team finished 6th of 23: Paula Prendergast, Helen Hopkins, Edel Feeney.

The W35 team finished 36th of 66 teams: Angela McVann, Karen Davitt, Katie Concannon.

Well done to the M35 A team: Seán Murphy, Noel Gibbons, Brendan Murphy finished 10th and M35 B team 39th Padraic McVann, Tim Ganley, Shane Timothy. 68 teams competed.
