St Stephen’s Day: Athenry 10k:  Brendan Gill 36:27 and 4th M40, Paul Reynolds M40  40:22, Mags Glavey 1st F65 45:34 –  2 seconds outside PB.

Manulla 4mile: Men 1 John Byrne 21:32, third successive win and  just outside his course record. Also his 99th career race win. o50 1 Danny Green 27:20.

Women: 2 Angela O’Connor 27:51, 3 Laura Heneghan 29:05. o50 1 Anne Murray 31:05

Sat 27th Claremorris Duathlon:  Colette Tuohy, fifth woman and 1st o40 1.09.57, (5.5k run, 18k cycle, 2 k run)

In the local parkruns: Castlebar – Jimmy Feeney 2nd 21:17, also Ann Murray, Carmel Cloherty, Aoife Ludden and Damien Glackin. Karen Devaney was first woman home in Knocknacarra 23:40, as was Anne Marie Staunton in Ballina 22:51.
