Declan Owens competed in the Connacht Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Claremorris yesterday June 16. He ran in the Senior 100m, 200m and 400m and won a medal in each – second in the 400 59:43, and third in the 100m and 200m 25:58. Declan ran a 12.07 pb in the 100m – a brilliant achievement down to hard work and the competitive experience. There were also Connacht championship medals for Senior, o35 and o50 men and women in 800, 1500, and 3,000 metres. We had no members competing in these events. Results: Connacht Athletics facebook
