Well done to members competing in recent events in Philadelphia, Louisburgh, Castlegar and Charleville. We will add any other results from this weekend – you can refresh this website post for any update.
Last Sunday (September 16) Patrick Jordan ran the Philadelphia Rock & Roll Half Marathon, finishing in 2:17, but as he says “trending in the right direction (lower time) in terms of ramping up for the Dublin City Marathon (which I hope that I can make!)”
Next up for Patrick is the Georgetown (Washington, D.C.) Half Marathon on October 6, on the Chesapeake &Ohio canal path which runs through the city, followed by the New York Road Runners’ Staten Island Half Marathon on October 14.

Congratulations to our two podium finishers John Byrne 74:19 in second place and David Tiernan third in 78:31. Saturday September 22: Castlegar AC hosted their 18th Open Cross Country races at Doughiska, Galway – an excellent opportunity to get ready for the cross country season.
Well done to Colette Tuohy (Mayo AC) who finished fourth in the women’s 4k in 16:03. Winner was Aisling Joyce (GCH) 15:49. Mens 6k winner was Patrick Chesser (Ennis Track) 19:14. Mike Griffin (Castlebar) finished in 22:20. He was second in the Ballyhaunis 8k and third in Castlebar 5k this summer.
Anto and Breege supported their daughters Aoibheann, Juliette and Niamh who ran in the children’s relay race and won gold – well done!
