Way to go?
There were more mis-adventures this week-end. In the Moone Kilomarathon 26.2k the first two runners went on the right course but the rest were sent the wrong direction. Clonliffe Harrier Gary O’Hanlon won in 87:37; the third placed finisher (105 mins) was 7 minutes behind the 2nd (98 mins). Paula Prendergast (Mayo AC) finished fifth woman in 2:02:37, obviously running much farther than a Half like the rest. She ran well in Swinford the previous week in the 8k (32:50) and looks to be getting into good form for the National Half.
In the Midlands Half Marathon (Co Laois) it was a similar story with the race being won in 84:31. Both of these races were chip timed but had less than 140 finishers.
