Other members of Mayo AC to finish strongly were:
Tom Hunt who finished in an excellent 5th place in a time of 40.34, Hugh Duffy finished in 41.04, Jimmy Feeney finished in 41.27 with Breege Staunton returning to running after a break of 15 months to finish in a brilliant time of 53.36.
