Andy Neary preparing for Rotterdam at the East Mayo Half marathon last weekend
Well done to Andy Neary (Mayo AC) who ran a personal best 3:17.57 in the Rotterdam marathon today – a great performance underlined by negative splits – 1:39.43/1:38.14.
That time was a massive 11 minute improvement on his previous best in Dublin in 2018 – 3:29.
Andy’s preparation for Rotterdam included some summertime speedwork 5ks, a couple of long runs and two recent half marathons at Ratoath and Charlestown in 1:35.
