Sinéad Diver closes out spectacular year with 5,000m pb

Congratulations to Melbourne-based Mayo AC member Sinéad Diver who closed out a fantastic year with yet another pb.

She won the 5,000 metres at the Steigen Spectacular in Geelong on Saturday night, December 22.

Sinéad finished in 15:23.65 knocking a massive 50 seconds off her previous best 16:13 last February.

It was a brilliant finale to a glorious year.

This is the list of her personal best performances in 2018:

a 31.59 10k on the road in Launceston, Tasmania in June;

69:20 win in the Sunshine State half marathon in August;

2:25.19 Melbourne Marathon win in October;

30:50.98 10,000m in the Zatopek 10 in November;

15:23.65 5,000m in the Steigen Spectacular in December.

Sinéad trains with South Melbourne AC and has represented Australia in the World Marathon Championships in Beijing 2015 and London 2017 and in the World Half Marathon Championships in Valencia in 2018.
