The event was organised by Sligo Athletics coach Dermot McDermott, local club Corran AC, Athletics Ireland and loads of local sponsors.
There was a brilliant atmosphere at Corran Park and the whole programme was an inspiration for all the youngsters gathered there on a beautiful sunny September evening. It was an event for all the family with children’s mile races, a mixed relay and an open 5k. The day also included a special appearance by World 50k Race Walk Champion Rob Heffernan as he hosted a Race Walking Workshop.
