Congratulations to Sarah Quinn (St Colman’s South Mayo AC) who won a silver medal in the Athletics Ireland National Seniors Championships today at Santry.

She finished second in the women’s 100 metres hurdles in a new pb 13:47. Sarah lies fourth on the all time Irish list headed by Derval O’Rourke whose national record is 12:65 (2010) and national championships best is 12:95 (2005).
Sarah Quinn ran her previous 100m hurdles pb of 13:57 a couple of weeks ago at the U23 European Games in Sweden.
Well done to the Ballinrobe NUIG student – she will be 21 next week – who looks to have a bright future in athletics.
The IAAF qualifying times for 2020 Tokyo Olympics were set in March 2019, – women’s 100m hurdles is 12.84.
