Tireragh AC (Co Sligo) 5k July 22: an out and uphill back course, won by Liam Feely 16:26. Women 1 Mari Johnston (Sligo AC) 19:38. Breege Staunton (Mayo AC)  finished in 23:36

 Well done Michaela Walsh (Swinford AC) who competed in the shot put at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland on Wed July 20. In her qualification group she finished fourth with a throw of 15:31. This was a new National u20 record which she already held. In the final later that day she threw 14:73 finishing 11th. Michaela will be eligible to compete in these championships for the next two years, so she will have gained great experience.
