Well done to our four finishers in the Rotterdam Marathon today. They’ve been putting in a lot of miles in preparation for this race. Rotterdam is a a popular destination for those seeking PBs due to fast flat course. Conditions were reported as warm for today’s race.
John Byrne 2:30.42 – 5th M40, a new PB 44 seconds better than his Berlin time last September, and edging ever closer to that long held target. Noel Gibbons 2:53.03 another fine run and eleven minutes faster than Dublin 2015 and like John showing great form recently. Just a minute behind him Norah Newcombe finished in 2:53.02 and 6th W35, – another fine performance. Paul Reynolds 3:06.52 came home over four minutes inside his Dublin time and looks to be on his way to sub 3. They’ll all be analysing their 5k splits and looking ahead to the next marathon challenge.
Well done to our large National 10k contingent who put in a mighty club performance in difficult conditions on a tough course today. Well be compiling finish times over next while and will publish as soon as possible.
