John wins Boylo, Paula 2nd in WAR 73k

Sun 27 April: Run for Boylo 10k (239 finishers) Sunny, warm/hot conditions for both races in Foxford. Well organised, super turnout of volunteers, and a fine spread afterwards. Winner John Byrne was out on his own and home clear by over four minutes. Well done too, to newcomer David Browne in second place, and to our other category winners.

Sat 26th  There’s no stopping Paula Prendergast. She continued her relentless week-end racing schedule and finished second woman in the Wicklow Adventure Run (WAR) 73k. Hailed by many as the most iconic Adventure Race in Ireland. This course takes you along the Spink Run over the Sally Gap, along the challenging Djouce run and kayaking on the magical Lough Dan.
Paula completed the course – 21k run, 52k cycle, 2k kayak –  in 4hrs 57:59 just 14 minutes behind the first woman. She was 25th overall of the 106 finishers. The race was won in 3hrs :56.
