Results: Mayo AC at Streets of Galway 8k

On Saturday evening Galway City Harriers hosted the 33rd edition of the Streets of Galway 8k. It’s one of the biggest races in the West and this year there were just over 2,500 finishers.

Last week’s Streets of Sligo 5k winner John Travers (Donore Harriers AC) was first over the line in a fast 23:56. Siobhán O’Doherty (Borrisokane AC) was first woman in 27:51.

We had eleven runners listed and congratulations to John Byrne who was our first man home in 26:45, an excellent performance finishing 16th overall and first M40.

Well done also to Sean Murphy 30:42, Anto Devaney 32:00, Catherine Conway 32:59, Keith Holland 33:56, Paul Damron 38:48, Patricia Carty 38:50, Natasha Kelly 38:58, Karen Clancy 41:38, Geraldine Heneghan 42:59, Kathleen Kennedy 49:47 (all gun time).
