Recent results: how did you do?
We try to provide an up to date results service of members finishing times and performance. With the ever increasing number of events, it is sometimes not possible to find out when and where members have raced. In addition, race results are not always accessible or made readily available by organisers online or elsewhere. You can help by providing details using the contact form. Let us know information such as race title/ location/date/ your age category, overall finish place, category place, personal best detail/previous best and any other relevant details e.g finish time of race winner, number of participants, loose dogs, tractors, potholes, rainbows, roadkill, frightened cattle, static trees, low flying crows, etc. Also attach race results link. It also helps if you fill in ‘club name’ on entry forms. Don’t be shy. Your results will interest many and motivate others. Thanks. Here are some recent results:
St Patrick’s Day: Mark Fitzgerald ((Mayo AC) was on start line at Via dei Fori Imperiali near the Coliseum for the Rome Marathon. An exciting time for many in the Eternal city. He finished in 4:45:46 (net) 4:41:09 (chip). Mark got to half way in 2:17/2:12 . Mark has progressed via Ballinrobe Fit4Life. He ran Kinvara Half a couple of weeks ago in 1:47:17, and the Tuam 8k in 38:46 in January.

Sun March 10th : Mayo Abbey 8k Won by Anto Devaney 31:03, with Mary Gleeson second 31:42(and first woman). Men 2 Dwayne Flynn, 3, Sean Murphy 32:47 Windy day, course quite hilly and reported to be 300-400 metres too long; a number of other members also ran see details in link to full results:

Sat March 16th Granlahan 10k (nr Ballinlough Co Roscommon) winner John Mannion in 36.00; Sean Murphy second 40.40; hilly course but nice country roads; loads of top quality sambos after. There was a 5k race also.
Mon March 18th Carrowholly 5k (300+ runners/walkers) Won by Robert Malseed 16:19, with Colette Tuohy first woman 18:45 (both Mayo AC). A number of other members ran. Here is link to results/photos: http://www.carrowholly.com/22601.html
