Record day at Berlin Marathon

Well done to Paddy O’Toole (Westport AC) who ran a brilliant 2:28.32 (2:28.38 gross) in today’s Berlin Marathon. He was halfway in 74:18, and continued to run evenly paced 17+ minute 5k splits to finish 10th M40 and 83rd place overall.

Kenya’s Eliud Kipchoge set a new marathon world record with a time of two hours, one minute 39 seconds – a fantastic achievement – passing halfway in 61:06.
