Monday March 18 results: Gortjordan 5k. The course was slightly long – for which the organisers apologised. John Brennan won in 20+ Darren Brewer (Mayo AC) close behind, third possibly John Murphy. Paula Donnellan (Mayo AC) was first woman 22.35, with Ann McDonnell (Mayo AC) second 23.38, and clubmate Linda Hession third.

Other Mayo AC: John Nyland, Laura Heneghan, Patricia Nyland. Sorry if we missed anyone else.
The inaugural event was organised by local people to help fund a defibrillator for the area. Lots of them were out marshalling the mainly undulating course – a hill at the start and a gradual climb for the final kilometre. Country roads took them home, lots of green fields specially decorated for the weekend, and a thatched cottage en route.
