Mid-summer round-up

Well done to our winners over recent days
Sprinter John Walkin won a silver medal in the 100 metres (12.29) at the Connacht T&F Championships last week-end.
Colette Tuohy was first woman finisher in the Annaghdown Summer Solstice 10k in a fast 38:07 which well up in her PB territory. This course is AAI measured and permitted and known for fast times and pbs. Conditions were reported to be damp and breezy but had obvious little impact on times. John Byrne won the Enniscrone 10k in 34:08; 5, TJ McHugh 37:30, Anto Devaney 39:00, Dwayne Flynn 39:05
Catherine Conway was first woman home in 38:45; Breege Staunton ran the 5k in 25:00.
This course was reported short last year – unable to confirm if it was officially measured or permitted for 2013? Maybe more info will come in
