Our adventurous Castlebar member Michael McNeela was on his travels again this weekend. He’s been to Scandinavia to race twice previously.
In June 2016 he completed the Midnight Sun Marathon at Tromso, and in September 2017 he ran the Oslo Marathon.
This time he went to Finland and ran the Helsinki City half marathon there yesterday in 1.36:12.
He reports “perfect running conditions, bright at 12°C . A really picturesque course, welcoming to tourists, run over a mixture of cobbled streets, wooded parks and miles along the shoreline.”
