Mayo AC offers free membership and training to Ukrainian citizens
Athletics Ireland announced last month that it will be offering Ukrainian citizens wishing to join athletics clubs in Ireland free membership.At the recent AGM of Mayo AC it was agreed to extend this offer to any Ukrainians in the locality to register with the club.
The offer will also include free entry to the club’s two weekly training sessions at Claremorris athletics track and at the Castlebar GMIT track until the end of the year.
Mayo AC membership is for over 18 adults.
Newly elected Chairperson of Mayo AC John Byrne says “the offer is part of our community focus and we welcome any help members or others can provide to Ukrainian citizens to support this initiative.”
