Mayo AC @ Kinvara 10k, Half-marathon, 3/4 marathon, Bundoran 10

The annual Kinvara Half Marathon, marathon and 10k have been popular with members over the years. .

This year in the 13th edition of the event a 3/4 marathon replaced the marathon with a 11.00 start, the half was off at noon and 10k at 12.10. All starts were at the Quay. The 10k and half were one lap courses .

Well done to the Mayo AC runners today – some great times by our 17 finishers.

The half-marathon race winners were Evan Reed Portmarnock AC 1:12.23, Catherine Thornton GCH 1 Gráinne Ní Uallacháin GCH 1:23.13

2024 Kinvara results:


The second seaside race on Saturday was the well established one lap Bundoran 10 miler. It attracted a big field of 1668 finishers.
 Promoted as a scenic course –  the start and finish is – but in between there’s a testing section along the N15 hard shoulder.
Eoghain McGinley AC was the winner 56:18, Noeleen Scanlon Letterkenny AC first woman home in 58:40.
Well done Erika Ryan – the only Mayo AC finisher – she came home in a very creditable 1:25.58
