Mayo AC @ Colm Horkan Memorial races
There were three early morning races today at Charlestown in the third annual Colm Horkan Memorial Run.
All three were over separate one lap courses starting and finishing at Lowpark.
Racing conditions were good – dry and warm.
Good to see a few Mayo AC competitors in action today.
John Byrne at 4k mark in the Colm Horkan Memorial 10k
10k : John Byrne looked smooth and relaxed, he came home for 8th place in 40:25 – great to see him back on the roads again.
Winner Barry Gallagher Finn Valley AC 36:15. First woman Adrianna Mulligan Longford AC 38:14.
Well done also to other Mayo AC finishers: Johnny Cribbin M60 12th in 42:17, Donna Gallagher 14th and 2nd woman 43:00, David Dinsmore M60 43:56, Sheelagh McDonnell 45:28
Half Marathon was won by Enda Marren 1:13.43, first woman Colleen Durkan 1:34.37.
Rowland McIntyre fresh from an excellent second place in Ballinrobe 5k on Tuesday last, ran a great race again to finish 4th 1:18.49 and our first finisher.
Mark Basquille was next man home in 11th 1:27.25. Then came Damien Finnegan 13th 1:30.41 and a new pb – a minute better than his Westport time last month, Dee Finnegan 4th woman 1:43.35, Justin McDonagh 1:57.34.
