Mayo AC at EMACI 2024 in Toruń

This week two Mayo AC members competed in the European Masters Athletics Indoor 2024 Championships in Toruń, 17-23.03.2024

Stephen Monaghan M50 ran in the 8k M50 cross-country finishing 33:26 in 18th place of 28 finishers. The M50 winner was Declan Toal Ireland (North East Runners) who crossed the line in 27:36.
Stephen also ran in the M50 3,000m finishing 15th of 18 in 10: 58. The M50 category winner ran9:03.

Winner: W Musial Poland 4,111
The Irish M65 team composed of Patrick, Shane Sheridan, Peadar McGing and Shane Toolan competed in the 4x200m relay finishing in 7th place overall in a new Irish age category record 2:00.62.
Winners were Germany in 1:50.12

Ireland are currently 7th on medal table with Germany leading.
