Mayo AC @ 2026 Charleville Half-marathon

Charleville Half-marathon: A fast, flat out-and-back course running from Charleville (Co. Cork) to Kilmallock (Co. Limerick) and back.

It’s been a popular race with members in recent years. Today four Mayo AC runners made the trip south.

Trevor Dempsey was our first finisher in a great new personal best time 1:15,22.  Trevor passed the six mile mark in 34:22. He ran 1:16.42 in the National Half-marathon in Tullamore last year.

He was followed by :

Tadgh Hanrahan 1:25.51 –

Tony O Malley 1:36.31

Congratulations Trevor and well done to all three Mayo AC Charleville finishers !

Unfortuneately Eamonn Joyce had hamstring problems at the 7k mark and had to pull out.

race winners: John Travers Donore Harriers AC 1:05.05, Niamh Allen Leevale AC 1:10.47
