This morning’s 31st edition of Lisbon Half marathon is one of a series of half marathons – SuperHalfs – that take place in Lisbon, Prague, Copenhagen, Cardiff and Valencia.
All of the SuperHalfs events are World Athletics’ Gold Label races or are run on World Athletics (IAAF) World Championship courses. They are certified by AIMS or have been awarded a 5 Star Road Race standard by European Athletics.
The Lisbon starting line is located at Ponte 25 de Abril running towards Lisbon City. The flat course
continues alongside the River Tagus passing by Alcantara, Algés and Dafundo, with the finish overlooked by the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos monument.
Mayo AC member David Dinsmore M65 ran in the half this morning.
Conditions were good at 25°c and rising.
He finished in 1:36.47. Gun time 1:37.05. And 10th M60
