Erika Ryan @ Great North Run

The Great North Run took place at Tyneside in the UK this morning with 63,000 runners taking part in the world’s biggest half marathon.

The 13.1-mile (21k) event sees runners and wheelchair users race through Gateshead and South Tyneside before finishing in South Shields,

Erika Ryan was among the masses at this morning’s startline. She passed the 10k mark in 54:09, and 10 miles in 1:27.17 on her way to an excellent 1:54.09 finish. Well done Erika!

She has run a number of half-marathons over recent years and that finish time is one of her best.

Last May she ran the Dublin City Half Marathon in 1:57.12

Erika became the third Mayo AC member to complete the Great North run
