End of season celebrated at Bridge Bar – updated

Elaine Hession (left) winner 2018 Mayo AC Vodafone women’s club league receives her prize from Maria Kneafsey, Club Secretary

Mayo AC celebrated another successful year at their end of season party in the Bridge Bar Castlebar on Saturday night last.

A big thank you to club secretary Maria Kneafsey and chairman David Dinsmore for their great work in organising the event.

David started off the proceedings by welcoming everyone to the Bridge Bar. Maria had compiled the results from the year and then went through all the winners of National events, followed by Cross Country and Club League and David took photos of the winners.
He also organised the excellent Bridge Bar venue and great food.
Maria thanked the Bridge Bar for a wonderful venue including complementary room upstairs. She also thanked everyone in the awards for their support to the committee over the year.
Maria says “it was lovely to see so many members from all over the county come together for this social event.
It makes the work we do worthwhile seeing all the medal winners for 2018 and how the end of year event is growing year on year.
It was great seeing different league winners, and to have all members be it elites or beginners taking part in races – the reason for the league”
