The second race in East Mayo AC’s 5k series took place at Cloonlyon on Saturday morning. The weather was warm and dry- a good day for running. The Cloonlyon 5k was another well organised event by the host club, with a good relaxed atmosphere.
At the start race organiser Trina Donohue reminded the 56 participants assembled in pods, that the course was a little hillier than the previous week at Curry. The undulations started just after 1k and continued until about 600 metres from the finish line near Bushfield church.
Well done John Byrne – who came home first in 17:26. He was one of eight finishers from Mayo AC.
