Dromahair 4 mile – Dublin and Derry Half Marathon’s

 Three mayo ac members made the trip recently to the annual Dromahair 4mile road race held over a testing course this popular event attracted around 150 competitors to the scenic Leitrim town. Michael McGrath finished in 27.22 while Christy OMalley [running his 48th race of the year] finished in 30.02 showed no after effects of the half marathon he had run in Dublin the previous day. Una McGrath [35.35] was 2nd in over 50 categorybehind Bernie Kelly of Galway City Harriers.
Michael Courell of Ballina ac finished in 30.18 and took the 60+ prize while Ballyhaunis based Sean Dooner [south west vets] was first over 70 finisher in 47.11

Derry Half Marathon

In the recent Derry Waterside Half Marathon Mayo ACs Tom Hunt ran a brilliant 89 minutes to finish in first position in the 060 category.

Dublin Half Marathon

Kevin Mellette Mayo AC ran an excellent 81:22 in the recent Dublin half marathon, the Swinford native is going from strength to strength. The ever improving Christy O’Malley who is in training for the Dublin City Marathon ran a fine race to finish in 1:36:06 with stalwart Jim Donnelly
finishing in 2:08:15
