County Mayo 10k race results
Men o45 l-r Paul Reynolds 1st, Padraic McVann 2nd (both Mayo AC)
The inaugural County Mayo 10k road race championships hosted by Westport AC took place at Drummin on Wed 19th August. The course was out uphill 4.5k and back 5.5k.
The race winner was Hugh Armstrong (Ballina AC) 32:34 – a course record. Well done to Colette Tuohy (Mayo AC) who was first women home in 42:08 and to our other medal winners:
Women – Joan Walsh 2nd o45, Mags Glavey 1st o55. Men: o45 1st Paul Reynolds; 2nd Padraic McVann. 055 1st Michael Sweeney, 2nd Tom Hunt. Team: Men 2nd Paul, Padraic and Michael; Women 2nd Colette, Mags, Mairead Cafferkey.
There were 37 finishers, 4 clubs were represented.
