Conor has double silver success at Connacht Indoors, Derrywash 6k

Anto Devaney receives winner’s trophy from Eamonn Tiernan Derrywash NS

Day 2 of the Connacht Indoors Championships took place today at Athlone AIT Arena. We had just one member competing.

Conor Naylor ran in two races – the Senior 60 and 200 metres. Both races had two heats with five sprinters in each, and finishing times deciding the medals. Conor finished first in heat 2 of the 60 metres in 7.37. In heat 1 Aaron Cadden (Sligo AC) won in 7.19. However Conor won silver with the second best time. It was a similar story in the 200 metres. Both ran in the faster heat 2 won by Aaron in 22.59, with Conor in silver 24.12. It was a very impressive performance by Conor – great to see the Naylor name continue to make athletics headlines – congratulations.
