Congratulations to Margaret Glavey, Pauline Moran and Colette Tuohy who set new National Indoors records at the recent Masters Championships in Athlone.
Margaret broke two records winning the W60 800 metres in 3:17:16, and the 3,000 metres in 13:08:44. She would probably have added a third in the 1500 but pulled a muscle towards the end of the 3,000.
Pauline won the W55 3,000 in a record 12:17:17, and Colette set a new record in the W45 3,000 in 10:38:28.
Indoor records were recently updated following review of National Master’s Indoor Championships. Interesting to note that 56 records in total were either set or equalled over the various Age Categories.
