Congratulations!

We are delighted to hear the good news that Josephine (Macken) and Gabriel Gardiner have a baby boy – Brendan John Gardiner, born Wednesday 6th February 2013. Congratulations and best wishes to them   from all at Mayo AC.

Josephine represented Mayo AC over many years. She was a regular winner in road races and cross country and won a number of  National medals as an individual and part of a very strong women’s team. She also represented the club in European clubs at Moscow and Rome. Josephine finished an excellent 7th place when representing the Irish Defence Forces in the European Military Road Racing Championships in Poland in 2000. She served on our committee  as secretary for many years playing a central role in the development of the club. Josephine was recognised for her contribution to the club during the recent ’25th’ celebrations last December.
