This Sunday’s West of Ireland Women’s 10k is a welcome opportunity to celebrate the return of this unique event for the first time since 2019.
Some runners like the one lap course, others don’t – nothing unusual there.
It usually depends on the result and their answer to the standard post race question – ‘How did you find it?’
One experienced competitor describes as ‘a long 10k’!
There is usually huge excitement at the Mall, especially as competitors head for the finish line where achievements are recognised, shared, and celebrated.
Best of luck to all participants.
The organisers welcome help from anyone who can help out on the day. Contact the Volunteer Organiser Ray McNamara at email@example.com
Best of luck also and safe pedalling to all those setting out on the Pink Ribbon cycle event tomorrow. They will pass through various parts of the county on 50, 100, and 150k routes.
