Another day, another gold – Pauline wins World Masters W65 8k cross-country!

Back at Day 2 of World Masters action again this morning in Torún.
Pauline Moran was on the 8k cross-country startline at 10:50 local time among over thirty W60 /W65 competitors.
She was joined by Irish W65 teammates Nuala Reilly Drogheda & District AC, and Kay Byrne Finn Valley AC in W60.
The race was held in a rest and recreation wooded park not far from Torún Arena.
One lap was 2 km.
Pauline won gold W65 in 37:07, with Christine Kennedy USA silver 38: 23 and Nuala Reilly bronze 43.

Pauline was part of the Irish team who won gold in the W60 team event, with Kay Byrne and Nuala Reilly.
And also in 8k cross-country – icing on the Irish cake – Kay Byrne won gold W60, and Mari Johnston Sligo AC won silver W55.

Note on Christine Kennedy:
A Corofin Co Galway native, now based in UK with Orion Harriers and running for her adopted USA. A prolific winner over the years including Dublin Marathon twice 1990: 2:41, 1991: 2:35.
And 2011 USA Track & Field Masters Athlete of the Year.
She ran 92:43 half-marathon in Wokingham last month and a 21:10 5k last October.
