PB for Paula, Ann wins10k, Catherine fifth in Streets
The exceptional finishing times of both Ann Lennon and Paula Prendergast at the National Half can in part be attributed to their preparation in fast 5/10k races in the run up to Dublin. Ann improved in every 5k of the recent Summer Series and in Balla 10k. Paula has been taking part in the Marlay Parkrun 5ks every saturday morning in Dublin. Last Saturday (10th) she was second woman finisher in 18:56 beating her previous PB in this event two weeks ago by 12 seconds. Training tip: if you want to run faster longer – run also in fast shorter races.
