A winning week-end: Coolaney 8k, Marlay parkrun 5k

It is still warm these evenings for both racing and training. At the Coolaney 8k (Fri 26th) only a handful of the 140 finishers broke 30 mins. Top man in a fast time was Tommy Casey (Sligo AC) in 25:11. Catherine Conway (Mayo AC) had clear win in the women’s race in 30:36. Patricia Carty came home in 41:11. A couple more of our youngsters also headed up the N17 – TJ McHugh M35 finished 7th in 29:19, with Sean Murphy M40 a few strides behind 9th in 29:40.  Results at www.precisiontiming.net

338 participants completed the run today. The first male to finish was Niall COPPINGER (M) in a time of 00:17:02. The first lady completing the course was Paula PRENDERGAST (F) (Mayo AC) in a time of 00:19:08.
