Saturday August 12 – National Masters Outdoors Track and Field Championships
There was the usual full programme with a packed schedule of competitions from 10am to 7pm.
The new surface on the Tullamore Harriers track provided excellent opportunities for competitors to achieve their goals.
Weather conditions were tough – quite blustery wind with occasional heavy showers causing delays between events.
It made for a tough test on the track – especially on the back straight.

In the final event of the day just before 7pm it was another
Relay gold for Mayo AC in the 4 x 400m:

They were well supported by first sub Gerry Kirrane and by our other other medallists all the way round the 4 laps to the great delight also of senior sprinter Declan Owens.
