Saturday August 12 – National Masters Outdoors Track and Field Championships
There was the usual full programme with a packed schedule of competitions from 10am to 7pm.
The new surface on the Tullamore Harriers track provided excellent opportunities for competitors to achieve their goals.
Weather conditions were tough – quite blustery wind with occasional heavy showers causing delays between events.
It made for a tough test on the track – especially on the back straight.
Ten Mayo AC competitors competed – nine men and Pauline Moran! Eight competed in sprint and distance track races in their categories, plus we had two relay teams, and two members in four of the field events.
