Your co-operation will ensure the smooth running of these races. These are ‘no frills’ events – turn up and run, apart from the final race in Ballyhaunis which includes the After party.

The 4th Annual Mayo AC 5k Series of five races starts  soon,  Tuesday evening 18th June and continue on the following four Tuesdays, all at 8pm sharp.

June 18: Castlebar, Registration at Harlequin Hotel
June 25: Claremorris…Athletic Track
July  2: Ballinrobe…Soccer pitch
July 9: Brickens..Community Centre (between Claremorris/Ballyhaunis)
July 16: Ballyhaunis ..Rugby Club, followed by Series After Party.

€30 for 5 races and post race party is great value.

As usual the Series is open to all, but with an emphasis on Fit4Life runners joggers and walkers. Many have taken their “first steps” in these events in previous years. Local athletic clubs and fitness groups are very welcome.
All courses are AAI measured /permitted, well marshaled with finish line time clock. The five races provide a variety of courses and challenges. This year Castlebar will be on a new route, and Brickens is a welcome new addition. A great opportunity to record a better time each week  so you are encouraged to participate in all five.
The emphasis is on fun  – first man/women finisher in each race will be recognised.
