Membership fee details and benefits
Mayo AC is affiliated to Athletics Ireland and welcomes membership from athletes of all fitness levels from age 18 upwards.
We are mindful that joining our club will be a new experience for many and our encouraging club environment will make you feel welcomed immediately.
Membership fees cover a calendar year and are due each January. Renewal for existing members is now due.
Part of the registration fee goes to Athletics Ireland to pay for insurance cover.
You can pay the fee directly to the club through your bank – click on the ‘Contact Us’ button on menu for club registrar/treasurer and get our IBAN details. You can also pay by completing the 2017 registration form – see below.
You will be able to train under our coach at weekly track sessions, or join one of our Fit4Life groups – you can pay membership to group leaders : see http://www.mayoac.com/
Club gear including vest is available for purchase by fully paid up members.
We compete in county, regional, and national championships on road, track & field and cross country. You can be part of a club team as well as competing in individual categories.
You’ll probably want to run in some of the road races on the events calendar – make sure you put your club (Mayo AC) on entry forms so we can easily identify and recognise your achievements. .
You will be able to take part in our Club League – a selection of races where you will be awarded points based on finishing place, bonus points for personal bests etc.
We often help out with other local races.
Our fundraisers include the Mayo AC Baxter Streets of Castlebar 5k and our successful Summer 5k Series, now in its eighth year.
So if you would like to move to a new level, we welcome anyone who is looking to improve within a supportive and encouraging club environment.
